Digital 201 - getting the most from your advanced
digital camera …
We'll
teach you how to use your Canon Digital Rebel XT, Nikon D-40,
Pentax K200D, Olympus E-420 or similar interchangeable
lens SLR camera*. Covers these topics and more:
- RAW files v. JPEG
- White balance
- ISO settings
- Lens types and how to choose
- Field of view
- Depth of field
- Exposure Compensation
- Composition
- Available light photography
- On-camera flash
- Synchro-sun exposure
- Basic studio (off-camera) lighting systems
- Filters
- In-camera special effects
- Choosing and using accessories
- Photography of special subjects - real estate, art,
small objects
- Care of your camera system
Tuition $50 per person. Class size limited to 8
students.
*some advanced non-interchangeable lens cameras such as
the Fuji S-7000 are also suitable. These cameras have manual control and allow
you to use threaded optical accessories and separate flash units.
Should
I bring my camera?
Sure! But please, a day or two before
the class, go through your manual so you'll have a general knowledge
of how to get around in your camera's menus. The more familiar you are
with your camera, the more beneficial this class can be to you, and the
more we can help you.

Thursday, January 21st from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturday, January 23rd from 9:00 AM to Noon.
Where:
Columbus Area Chamber office. 500 Franklin St.
Cost:
$50.00 - Paid in advance please. As I am limiting
the size of this class, unfortunately if you would have to cancel there are no
refunds, but the fee can be applied to future Digital Photography 201
class.
